Setting up the HiPeople integration with Ashby
On Ashby, generate an API key by clicking the “+ New” button in the API Keys page: https://app.ashbyhq.com/admin/api/keys
Give the API key a meaningful name, for example: “HiPeople Integration” and select “HiPeople” as the integration partner from the list, then click Create API Key.
Copy your API Key to the clipboard and store it, as we'll use it in the following steps.
Ensure that your API Key has the right permissions for the integration by clicking on the API Key you created for HiPeople, and matching the permissions as below.
Go to your HiPeople organization settings and navigate to Integrations: https://app.hipeople.io/settings/org/integrations.
Scroll down to the Send from ATS (Push Integration) section, and select Ashby from the list:
Click Continue after you review the information that HiPeople will access from your ATS.
Copy the HiPeople API Key from the designated field.
Go to your Integrations Marketplace on Ashby. Locate HiPeople and click on the tile to configure it.
In the HiPeople API Key field, paste the API Key that you obtained in step 7. After you have pasted in the value of "HiPeople API Key", please click on the "refresh" button under the input box.
You will get a notification that the API has been successfully tested, at which point you can click Update.
Next, you will need to select the Ashby API Key you want to use for this integration. This is the same API Key that you created in steps 1 through 3.
Click on the top right to activate the Integration with HiPeople.
Go back to the integration flow in HiPeople, and on the Ashby API Key, paste the API Key that you have copied in step 3, and click Set up integration.
Your integration is now set up!
Now in the Organization settings, you will see only the configured Ashby integration under the Send from ATS (Push Integration) section:
