How to set up and use the HiPeople integration with Manatal

Set up the HiPeople integration

Add your API key to HiPeople

To initiate the connection flow, navigate to HiPeople and Log In. Click on your logo on the top left, and then Settings. Locate the Integrations option on the list on the left.

On the Integrations page, locate and click Manatal under the Automate in HiPeople (Pull Integration) category.

You'll be guided to the Kombo Connect integration flow. First, click Continue.

Add your Open API token (which can be obtained on Manatal's Open API page) and your career page URL slug in the corresponding fields, then click Set up integration.

That's it, your integration is set up!

Automatically create jobs in HiPeople

To have jobs automatically populate in HiPeople once you create them in Manatal, you can activate the Job seeding feature.

With this feature activated, you won't need to manually create jobs in HiPeople. All you'll need to do is set them up, following the steps below, once they are created in your ATS.

After enabling the HiPeople integration, you will be ready to use the automation that it offers.

Go to the Jobs page, locate and click on the job you want to set up.

During the setup flow, select the modules that you want to include for the job, make any customizations that are needed, and then click Continue.

In the example below, the job will include both Assessment and Reference Check.

Continue the setup flow until you get to the "Connect ATS” page. Here, you will connect your HiPeople job with the one in your ATS, and you will select which pipeline stages will trigger the Assessment or Reference Check.

In this example, the pipeline stage that will trigger the Assessment is “Shortlisted", and the pipeline stage that will trigger the Reference Check is “Offered”.

Continue the flow until you get to the last job setup page and can click on Save job.

Start an Assessment or Reference Check

To start the Assessment or Reference Check for the candidate, navigate to the candidate profile in Manatal, and move the candidate to the equivalent Assessment or Reference Check stage that you previously set up.

That's it! The request for the candidate to complete an Assessment or submit their references is on its way!

You can see the progress of the Assessment or Reference Check for this candidate by going to the respective role in HiPeople – the candidate profile is synced, and an Assessment/Reference Check invite has been sent automatically.

Review the results of the Assessment or Reference Check

As soon as the candidate completes the Assessment, you will receive an email notification from HiPeople, and the results will be posted to the notes section under the job for that candidate.

For Reference Check, when the candidate's referees provide their feedback, you will receive an email notification, and the note will also be posted to the notes section under the job for that candidate.
