Fountain Integration

Steps on how to integrate HiPeople with Bullhorn

HiPeople integrates seamlessly with Fountain using their iFrame integration. This allows candidates to interact with HiPeople directly within the Fountain workflow—without ever leaving the platform.

In addition to embedding the candidate experience, we fully support data exchange between Fountain and HiPeople. This includes:

  • Displaying HiPeople partner status directly in Fountain

  • Direct links to the HiPeople dashboard to view results

  • Viewing reference contact details directly within Fountain

Step 1: Connect HiPeople to Fountain

To set up the HiPeople integration in your Fountain environment:

  1. Navigate to the Company Settings in Fountain.

  2. Open the Integrations tab.

  3. Under the Screening section, look for HiPeople.

  4. Enter the API key you received from HiPeople Customer Support.

  5. Click Save Changes.

Step 2: Add HiPeople Stage to a Role

  1. Go to the Role you want to integrate HiPeople with.

  2. Under Settings, select Edit Workflow.

  3. Click Add Stage → Create New Stage.

  4. Enter a Title for the stage (e.g., "Reference Check").

  5. From the Stage Type dropdown, select the HiPeople partner integration you just configured.

  6. Choose the desired placement in the workflow.

  7. Click Add Stage.

Step 3: Configure the HiPeople Stage

Once the stage is added:

  • In the “Reference Check Integration” box, use the searchable dropdown to select the relevant HiPeople role.

  • This will link the Fountain role to the corresponding HiPeople reference check flow.

Step 4: Enable Auto-Move Rules (Optional)

You can configure automatic movement between stages based on the candidate’s HiPeople partner status:

  • Incomplete – Candidate has been invited but has not submitted all required reference contact details.

  • In Progress – Candidate submitted reference contact details, and HiPeople is collecting feedback.

  • Completed – All references have completed and submitted their surveys.
