Pinpoint 'Pull' Integration

How to set up the HiPeople 'Pull' integration with Pinpoint

Prerequisites

Please carefully read the following to make sure you fulfill all the requirements to set up the integration:

  • Your account belongs to the "Administrator" access group in your company's Pinpoint Instance.
    1. Log in to Pinpoint, and navigate to the sidebar on the left side of the screen.

    2. If you cannot see the "Settings" option on the sidebar, it means that your account does not belong to the "Administrator" access group.

    • Find out who is in the "Administrator" access group in your company's Pinpoint instance, and ask them to promote you to the group or take over the setup process.

Set up the integration in HiPeople

  1. Navigate to HiPeople and Log In. Click on your user name on the bottom left, and then Settings. Locate the Integrations option on the list on the left. (Direct link here: https://app.hipeople.io/settings/org/integrations).

    On the Integrations page, locate and click Pinpoint under the Automate in HiPeople (Pull Integration) category.

  2. In the first screen, you will see what permissions HiPeople will have by enabling the integration. Click Continue.

  3. Add your Pinpoint subdomain. This is the start of the address you access

    Pinpoint on. If you, for example, use Pinpoint on my-company.pinpointhq.com, then your subdomain is my-company. Click Continue.

  4. Create an API key. To do so, log in to Pinpoint, navigate to the sidebar on the left side of the screen, and click on "Integrations" under the "Settings" section.

  5. Under the "Apps" tab, look for the "Pinpoint Api" card, and click on "ADD".

  6. Toggle the setting from "DISABLED" to "ENABLED", and click on "CREATE NEW"

  7. Make sure to input a name under the "API KEY NAME" field

  8. To learn which permissions to grant to the API Key, observe the permissions required as shown in the connection flow:

  9. Grant those permissions to your API Key in Pinpoint. Then, scroll down to the bottom of the tab, and click on "CREATE API KEY":

  10. Click on the "Copy" icon to copy your newly created API key:

  11. Paste the copied key in the connection flow, and click Set up integration.

That's it, you'll see a confirmation that your connection is set up correctly, and you're set!

Now that your integration is live, you can either create jobs manually in HiPeople and link them to your existing Pinpoint jobs, or turn on ATS Sync to have jobs created automatically in HiPeople whenever new ones are added in Pinpoint. You can learn more about ATS Sync here.
